ONEOK Partners Named Natural Gas STAR Program's Gathering and Processing Partner of the Year

ONEOK Partners, L.P. (NYSE: OKS) announced today that it has been named the "Natural Gas STAR Program's Gathering and Processing Partner of the Year" by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its significant efforts to reduce greenhouse gases through voluntary implementation of methane emission reduction technologies and practices.

The award was presented at the 2010 Annual Natural Gas STAR Implementation Workshop held this month in New Orleans, La.

The Natural Gas STAR Program is a voluntary EPA program that encourages oil and natural gas companies to adopt proven, cost-effective technologies and practices that improve efficiency and reduce methane gas emissions. The program also serves as a forum between participating companies and the federal government to share new and improved methods for reducing methane gas emissions.

ONEOK Partners' natural gas pipelines business also received a Continuing Excellence award for five years of active participation in the program, including consistent reporting of emission reduction activities. This award requires a high level of performance similar to the criteria used to determine Partner of the Year.

ONEOK Partners has been a member of the organization since 2000 and was previously recognized as the Gathering and Processing Partner of the Year in 2008. The partnership's interstate natural gas pipeline business was recognized as the Natural Gas Star Program "Rookie of the Year" in 2006.
