ONEOK Announces Officer Appointments

                  Vice Presidents Named at Texas Gas Service

TULSA, Okla., July 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ONEOK, Inc. (NYSE: OKE) today announced that it has named two new officers at its Texas Gas Service division.

James "Paul" Wilson, 45, will become regional vice president and Eric "Rick" A. Grundman, 44, will become vice president of administration of the Austin, Texas-based distribution company, effective July 26, 2008.

Wilson replaces Gregory A. Phillips, 45, who was previously named president of Texas Gas Service, replacing Roger Mitchell who will become president of ONEOK's Oklahoma Natural Gas Company division. Grundman replaces Bobbie Barker who is retiring. Wilson and Grundman will report to Phillips.

In his new role, Wilson will be responsible for Texas Gas Service's operations and maintenance, construction, customer service and marketing activities in the eastern region, which includes its Austin, South Jefferson County and north Texas jurisdictions. Wilson is currently the director, gas supply, for Texas Gas Service. He has held various accounting, managerial and field operations positions since joining the company in 1989, following graduating from Texas State University in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in accounting, and is a graduate of Leadership Austin.

In his new role, Grundman will be responsible for the division's natural gas supply, human resources, safety, communications and fleet management functions. Grundman is currently manager - process improvement and quality assurance for Texas Gas Service. He began his career with Texas Gas Service in 1995 as a community affairs manager for the Austin area before becoming manager, government affairs, for Texas Gas Service and ONEOK in Texas. Grundman graduated from St. Edward's University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and is a graduate of Leadership Austin.
