TULSA, Okla. - July 11, 2006 - ONEOK, Inc. (NYSE: OKE) today kicked off the countdown to its 100th birthday celebration on October 12, 2006.
To begin the centennial celebration countdown, the company conducted a satellite television broadcast, reaching more than 4,000 employees in over 70 company locations, including employees of ONEOK Partners (NYSE: OKS), the master limited partnership in which ONEOK is general partner.
The kick-off event was emceed by David Kyle, ONEOK chairman, president and CEO, and included ONEOK Chairman Emeritus and former CEO C.C. Ingram who served as chairman and CEO of the company from 1966-1981.
"ONEOK's Centennial represents a proud look back at our company's history and its legacy of success," said Kyle. "It also serves as an inspiration for our future, which will be marked by continued growth, offering opportunity for every ONEOK employee."
Additionally, Centennial-themed banners and flags are being flown company wide in celebration of the kickoff and Centennial.
