Kansas Gas Service to Upgrade Natural Gas Pipelines in Hope

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – June 8, 2010 – Kansas Gas Service will begin upgrading distribution service lines and relocating natural gas meters throughout the city of Hope, Kan., beginning Monday, June 28.

"This project is a part of our regularly-scheduled maintenance plan and is a system-improvement program," said James Lambert, manager of community relations for Kansas Gas Service.

Customers affected by this project will be notified by Miller Paving and Construction, the contractor assisting Kansas Gas Service, or by a service notification card that will be posted at their home or business. The project is expected to be completed by the end of July and company officials do not anticipate any major interruption to traffic flow.
